Going live: free address, custom domain and SSL explained

Publishing is the moment an idea becomes a link you can send. Here is what happens behind that button, in plain language.
Your free address
Every project can go live on a Moremade address the moment you publish. It is perfect for sharing a draft with a client, testing with friends, or launching before you have picked a domain.
Connecting your own domain
When you are ready, add your domain in the project settings. If you bought it elsewhere, you add a DNS record at your registrar and we take it from there. You can also search for and buy a domain without leaving Moremade.
SSL, handled
SSL is what puts the padlock in the browser and the “s” in https. Browsers warn visitors about sites without it, and search engines rank them lower. Moremade issues and renews certificates for your domain automatically; there is nothing to configure.
Updating a live site
Keep editing in the builder as usual. Your changes are not visible to visitors until you publish again, so you can experiment freely and ship when it is right.
